Fan Control Systems

CBM Radiators can supply electrical control systems to compliment it's range of electric fan cooled radiators. The control system can be in the form of a basic Motor Starter with contactors and relays, to the more sophisticated 2 speed and Variable speed/frequency control packages for more efficient engine cooling management systems.

The control equipment enclosures are rated to IP65 and fan cooled for 50C rating. Aside from the fan drive control equipment, CBM Radiators supplies temperature sensors, thermowells and gauges to complete the control process.

Variable speed drives on radiator cooling fans can vastly improve the operating efficiencies of the system by reducing the parasitic losses. Reducing the operating fan speed through a temperature controlled VSD reduces the power absorbed by the fan motor dramatically.
